Funeral services for Mr. Jerry M. Nowell & Mrs. Wanda Sue Patterson Nowell will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 24, 2018 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Sam Fulton and Rev. David Richardson officiating. Interment in Longino Cemetery. Visitation 5-8 PM Friday, February 23, 2018 at John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services.
Mrs. Nowell, 72, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She married the love of her life, Jerry M. Nowell, September 16, 1967 in Calhoun County, MS. She has lived in Neshoba County since 1971 and operated a daycare for 32 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and praying for people. Mrs. Nowell was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Patterson and Bernice Lucille Cowsert Patterson; brothers, James David Patterson (2008), Charles Wayne Patterson (2017).
Mr. Nowell, 75, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was a U. S. Army Veteran. He lived in Neshoba County most of his life. He worked for Mississippi Department of Transportation. His hobbies include fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Mr. and Mrs. Nowell were both members of Longino United Methodist Church. They attended Northside Pentecostal Church.
Mr. Nowell was preceded in death by his parents, Ishmael Nowell and Wilma McDonald Nowell; infant sister; wife, Wanda S. Nowell.
Mr. and Mrs. Nowell are survived by their children, Angie Hayes of Philadelphia; Swanna Copeland (Marty) of Preston; Eddie Nowell (Allison) of Philadelphia; (6) grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Nowell is also survived by a sister, Willa Kay Duke of Vardaman. Mr. Nowell is also survived by brothers, Joe Nowell and Sam Nowell both of Philadelphia.
