WILL BE HELD: 2 PM MONDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2017

INTERMENT: SPRINGHILL CEMETERY
VISITATION: 1 PM - 4 PM SUNDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2017

Funeral services for Mr. Claudie Yates Stephens will be held at 2 PM Monday, December 18, 2017 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Mike Carr and Rev. John E. Stephens officiating. Interment in Springhill Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 PM – 4 PM Sunday, December 17, 2017 and 8 AM – til time for service Monday, December 18, 2017 at John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services.
Mr. Stephens, 88, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He married the love of his life, Ruby Wells, June 19, 1948 and they lived in Springhill Community. He worked at Louisiana Pacific for many years. He served his country in the Army National Guard. He was a Mason, Shriner and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. His hobbies included spending time with his family, fishing and gardening.
Preceded in death: Parents, John Albert Stephens Sr. and Ollis Spears Stephens; Brothers, Carlie Stephens and Albert Stephens Jr.; Son, Randy Stephens; Grandson, Brad Hill; Great-Grandson, Hugh Lee Johnson; Son-in-Law, William Hill; Daughter-in-Law, Delnita Stephens.
Survivors: Wife, Ruby Stephens; Daughters, Judy Hill, Terri Fry and her husband, Glen; Sons, Mike Stephens and his wife, Nancy, Roger Stephens and his wife, Judy and Bill Stephens and his wife, Donita; Daughter-in-law, Jan Stephens Tullos and her husband, Tony; Sister, Helen Young, all of Philadelphia; (14) Grandchildren, (29) Great-Grandchildren and (9) Great-Great-Grandchildren; Many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers: Dwight Akins, Billy Gray, Jerry Martin, Keith Nowell, Joe Nowell, Willie Hayes Richardson, Ricky Creekmore and Uhl Payne. Masons and Shriners will serve as honorary pallbearers.
