Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Faye Jones will be held 2 PM Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Doug Jones officiating. Interment in Salem Cemetery. Visitation 5-8 PM Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services. Mrs. Jones, 81, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at her residence. She lived in Burnside Community most of her life. She was employed with WalMart in Philadelphia for many years. Her hobbies include yard working and talking with friends. Mrs. Jones was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Preceded in death: Parents, Ledger C. Smith and Willie Hisaw Smith; Husband, Paul Jones (1980); Sister, Carolyn Pinson; Brothers, Alton Smith, Doyle Smith and Alvin Smith. Survivors: Daughter, Cynthia Bates and her husband, Doug of Philadelphia; Son, Ronnie Jones of Philadelphia; (3) Grandchildren, Paula Williams, Brandi Smith and Matt Bates; (6) Great-Grandchildren, Jeremy Blair, Abby Crenshaw, Tanner Williams, Kooper Smith, Kadence Smith and Carter Bates; (3) Great-Great-Grandchildren, Keeley Blair, Miley Blair and Laklyn Blair; Several nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers: Jeremy Blair, Tanner Williams, Matt Bates, Jessie Smith, Jonathan Pilgrim and Shane Draughon.
