WILL BE HELD: 2 PM THURSDAY, DECEMBER 28, 2017
AT: JOHN E. STEPHENS CHAPEL
INTERMENT: EAST LAWN CEMETERY
VISITATION: 4-8 PM WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 27, 2017
AT: JOHN E. STEPHENS CHAPEL FUNERAL SERVICES

Funeral services for Mr. Robert. L. Posey will be held at 2 PM Thursday, December 28, 2017 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Austin Bishop, Rev. Tom Bentley and Rev. Bob Wilburn officiating. Interment in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation 4-8 PM Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services.
Mr. Posey, 64, left this life and entered into eternal glory on Monday, December 25, 2017 at Neshoba County General Hospital. He was employed with AEP River Operations in Paducah, KY 26 years and was River Boat Captain. He married the love of his life, Jennifer Manning on May 20, 1978 in Bethalto, IL. His hobbies include spending time with his family, especially Dylan and Tanner, boats and tinkering. Mr. Posey was a member of First Assembly of God, where he served as a board member for several years.
Preceded in death: Parents, Madison Spencer Posey and Gladys King Posey; Brother, Freemon Posey.
Survivors: Wife of 39 years, Jennifer Posey of Philadelphia; Daughters, Angell Posey Haston (Josh) of TN, Heather M. Posey (Mike) of Lake Ozark, MO and Hope Posey Chunn (Aaron) of Philadelphia; Sisters, Dorothy Pope, Clara Benson of Philadelphia and Elaine Powell of Maben; Brothers, Willard Posey of Philadelphia and Paul Posey of Philadelphia; (8) Grandchildren, Jessica Gilmer Diveley, Tyler Gilmer, Lauren Gilmer, Sarah Beth Haston, Dylan Fletcher chunn, Tanner Gage Chunn, Bailey Smith and Blake Edwards; (5) Great-Grandchildren, Emma Grace Diveley, Allie Claire Diveley, Jane Koorevar Gilmer, Finn Tucker Gilmer and Elsy River Gilmer; Several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Andrew Waters, Carl Roberts, Eddie Posey, Steve Nowell, Ronnie Lewis and Jason Dyess. Honorary pallbearers: Kenny Jones, Harold Dodd, David Butcher, Jimmy Brown and Dicky Mathis.
